Mizari Suárez — Executive Director
Mizari stepped into the role of Executive Director in March 2023. She comes from a community organizing background with deep connections to the immigrant rights movement on a local and national level. As a previously undocumented immigrant, Mizari knows firsthand the importance of affordable immigration legal services and culturally competent outreach to immigrant communities. Mizari is a facilitator and community organizer/connector, and in her free time, she loves going on walks in her neighborhood with her dog Sassa and gardening.
Katie Taylor — Legal Director
Katie Taylor joined Neighbors Immigration Clinic as the Legal Director in January 2024. Prior to that, she served as the Lexington Office Director for the Children's Law Center and as an Immigration Attorney at Kentucky Refugee Ministries. Katie graduated with her JD from Harvard Law School in 2017 and graduated with a BS in Computer Science from the University of Kentucky in 2014.
